PlanBuddi is operated by Swift Publications CC in Johannesburg, South Africa. We apply privacy-conscious handling because many PlanBuddi users are learners.

Information we use

PlanBuddi uses account and study-planning information needed to provide the service, such as a learner’s chosen nickname, school, grade, country, subjects, schedule preferences and study progress. We do not sell personal information.

TikTok advertising measurement

PlanBuddi uses the TikTok Pixel to understand whether advertising leads to website visits, account registrations, trial starts and paid subscriptions. The subscription event includes the amount charged and ZAR currency. PlanBuddi does not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, identity numbers or other direct identifiers to TikTok, and does not use TikTok Advanced Matching.

TikTok may use cookies or similar browser technologies when its pixel loads. TikTok’s handling of this data is governed by its own privacy terms.

Campaign attribution

If a visitor arrives through an advertising link, PlanBuddi temporarily retains standard campaign parameters such as UTM values and TikTok’s click identifier. These values are stored with the created account for campaign reporting; they are not added to TikTok conversion-event payloads.

Children’s information

Children’s personal information receives special protection under POPIA. Parent or guardian involvement may be required where consent is the legal basis for processing.
